Book Review : Devourers of Suryaksh by Varun Sayal

Devourers from Suryaksh written by Varun Sayal is the second book in the Time Travelers series.
~
Sayal has a very creative skill in mixing sci-fi,mythology and technology together which makes his writing unique.
~
The author’s imaginative and original thinking and his calibre to pen his thoughts into words brilliantly is appreciable.
~
Divided into 25 chapters, the book begins right after the first book in the series. Tej,our protagonist now has the ability to time travel. We are also introduced to a new race.
~
I have read 3 books by the author. What surprises me each time is the author’s ability to add new elements and themes and the story never seems repetitive.
~
Character development is satisfactory and the characters are given a lot of thought. The language is lucid. The story and the compelling narrative give a strong base to the story. ~
The plot is fast paced and well executed
The climax is impressive and quite interesting.
~
The book is definitely a page turner.I recommend the book and it will be a good read for sci-fi lovers.

Book Review : The Girl With Blue Eyes by Vaiibhav Nigam

The Girl With Blue Eyes is a romantic thriller written by Vaiibhav Nigam which revolves around three characters Armaan,Rutvi and Tanisha.

The story starts with Armaan and Tanisha’s relationship and after sometime Armaan meets an accident and then the girl with blue eyes enters his life and his life is totally changed

I like reading romantic thrillers but somehow this book didn’t meet my expectations. The mystery in the book was good but the writing could have been more mature and the book could have a better flow.

The characters were well developed and the story is medium paced. The narration lacked depth. The language is lucid.
The mystery in the climax was satisfactory.

Overall, it could have been a better reading experience.

Demons of Time is a science fiction book written by Varun Sayal is the first book in the Time Travelers Series

The book is about Tej who was saved from the atrocities of Kumbh,a demon of time. After twenty years, Tej starts an adventure to recapture the demon as he only has seven days.

Divided into 20 chapters, this book is really engaging. The author’s writing is original and the way he combines science with mythology is appreciative.

The book is fast paced and the plot is well constructed and executed. The book is well detailed and the narration is clear. The base of the novel is very strong.

The climax is very impressive and justifies the story. This book is a perfect read for Science fiction lovers.

Book Review : Two Girls in Love by Ankita Singh

Name : Two Girls in Love
Author : Ankita Singh
Pages : 37
Genre : LGBT,Story in verses

Thanks to the author for the review copy

Two Girls In Love is written in the form of a diary with a poetic style about homosexuality.

It starts on the day when Indian Supreme Court legalised section 377. It talks about the feelings of a lesbian girl and what she thinks when she realizes that she is free to love anyone she wants irrespective of the gender but there is still a lot of change needed in the mindset of people.

This piece talks on such a sensitive issue in a very subtle way. It’s beautifully expressed in a unique style.

The writing style is very clear and the language is very simple and understandable. The book is written nicely.

The author has covered all the aspects like what the girl feels, the pressure of society and how she wants to tell the same to her parents.

I liked the book and it’s worth a read.
